Hello stranger.

Welcome!

I'm K.E.S., and this is Oasis of Neglect, a dubiously unofficial fansite for the industrial-psychedelic indie rock band Scent of Steam (check out the about SoS page for a more in-depth description of the band!). Now you might be asking, "K.E.S., how can a fansite be dubiously unofficial? It's a fansite; of course it's unofficial." You see, due to the magic (or curse, who really knows) of being friends with Dawn and Adam, they know this website exists and had minor input into some of the design elements. Mostly meaning they helped pick the background because I made like 7 of them and I'm incredibly indecisive.

This website was made to be my little hoard of all things SoS-related. There's a gallery page for photos and official images, a video page for edits and other videos, an arts and crafts page with fan art and my SoS-themed crafts, a songs and lyrics page that has links and lyrics for the whole discography, and a guestbook where you can leave messages!

I hope you enjoy this fansite; it's a labor of love for this niche little band that I love to death.

Changelog!

Welcome to the first site update of Oasis of Neglect! I've added a bunch of new stuff and I'm so excited for all of you to see it!

1. If all has gone according to plan you should be seeing a custom cursor.
2. More photos and a second page have been added to the Gallery.
3. More links have been added to the about SoS page.
4. A new craft of mine and a re-discovered piece of fan art have been added to the Arts & Crafts page.
5. The Guestbook has been polished up a little, just removing superfluous buttons and icons and such.
6. New videos have been added to the Videos page, including two embedded links to a fan-made 6 hour sleep mix of Exfoliator (which I, for one, have been enjoying the hell out of).
7. A new and adorable page has been added, check the footer of any page to find it.
